Playing and local data

Fourlino stores your progress on your device: games, wins, results, experience points, streaks, achievements and settings. Detailed statistics and their history remain local. There is no provider account, advertising, analytics SDK or proprietary game server.

iCloud

iCloud sync is enabled by default. When available, Apple’s iCloud key-value storage syncs overall progress, settings, streaks, achievements and competition results between your devices. Detailed game statistics are excluded. You can turn sync off under Profile; this does not delete data already stored by Apple. Further information: Apple on iCloud and privacy.

Game Center

Signing in is optional. When signed in, the app sends competition scores, move and thinking-time information, and achievements to Apple Game Center. It reads leaderboards, ranks and Game Center display names. Your Apple settings also affect activity visibility. Apple processes data under its own terms: Game Center and privacy.

Widgets, reminders and sharing

The app and widgets exchange streak, Daily Challenge and rank data locally through shared storage. Reminders are scheduled locally only after activation and notification permission. The provider has no push server. When sharing, you choose the recipient and service; that service’s privacy rules also apply.

Website

This static website is hosted on GitHub Pages. When you visit, the hosting provider processes technically necessary connection data such as your IP address and the requested resource. GitHub states that it logs IP addresses for security. We use no analytics, advertising trackers, externally loaded fonts or embedded social media. This website sets no cookies itself and stores no data in your browser.

Cloudflare manages the domain’s DNS; the record is used without a proxy. Website content is served directly by GitHub. Details on recipients, retention and international processing by the providers: GitHub privacy statement and Cloudflare privacy policy. These providers may also process data in the USA; their policies describe the transfer mechanisms used, in particular the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses, where applicable.

Email support

When you contact us by email, we process your message, email address and voluntary information to handle your request. Please send only what is necessary. Messages are deleted when no longer needed for handling and any follow-up, unless legal retention duties apply. We use Cloudflare Email Routing to receive email. Incoming messages are forwarded to a Gmail mailbox; Cloudflare and Google process the message and connection data needed for transport and storage. Processing outside the EU may also occur here; the providers describe their respective transfer mechanisms in these policies.

Purposes and legal bases

Where we process personal data to provide requested app features or handle contract-related requests, the basis is GDPR Article 6(1)(b). Secure website delivery and other inquiries rely on our legitimate interest under Article 6(1)(f). Where consent is required and obtained, Article 6(1)(a) applies; consent can be withdrawn for the future. Apple and infrastructure providers’ independent processing is governed by their own privacy information.

Storage and deletion

Local app data stays until you reset or remove the app and its data. “Delete all local data” resets app data. With iCloud sync active, the reset record may sync; Game Center entries are not deleted. Apple’s retention periods and deletion options depend on the service. Hosting and DNS log retention is set by each provider.

Your rights

Subject to legal conditions, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests for reasons relating to your particular situation. You may withdraw consent for the future and complain to a data protection authority.
